Mercure Avignon Gare TGV

4 minutes drive from the tgv station, modern hotel, overall well maintained shared areas. Friendly and fast check in and check out. Plenty of parking space. Comfy bedding. Charges for spa access (30€ for an hour only) and breakfast at 19€/ person are wildly disproportionate for a hotel of such basic standards. You can have a much nicer breakfast in the lovely historical center of Avignon for less than 10€/ person.

The hotel was newish, clean and had a good vibe. We had a junior suite (not quite as luxurious as it sounds) but gave us space. Balcony was good and the spa was very nice although we thought it was included with the junior suite price, but not so and we had to pay. Restaurant was also nice, which is good as you are quite trapped by the location.

Conveniently situated about a 10 minute walk from the TGV station. Check in was both friendly and efficient and the staff were very helpful. In fact, in the days before arriving I had had a couple of questions and both were answered very quickly and helpfully. The room was large and had everything I needed and the bed was comfortable. The pool is a good size and well maintained and was very welcome on one of the hottest days of the year.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed here for one night while passing through, and it was an excellent experience. The hotel is easily accessible and offers free, secured outdoor parking, which is a great plus. Upon arrival, I received a warm and friendly welcome from the staff. The room was comfortable, with a good shower and high-quality Nuxe products, which I really appreciated. Breakfast was well taken care of, with a variety of options to choose from. The entire staff was kind and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. Great value for money. Highly recommended!

Room was good, and comfortable; unusual layout which I cannot say I favor. Not too far from train station. Overall, a good value and I would stay again.
